Pokémon GO Charizard IV & Mega Charizard X/Y Raid — October Guide
Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y will appear as Mega Raid bosses from 6 a.m. on Wednesday, October 21 through 10 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27. The Pokémon caught in the Mega Raid is the base-form Charizard, and the 100% IV CP values are also based on the base form. For detailed strategies, see the Mega Charizard X Raid guide and the Mega Charizard Y Raid guide.
Checking IVs on Your Caught Charizard
The minimum IV floor for Raid boss catches is 10/10/10. Enter the Attack, Defense, and HP values in the IV Rank Checker to instantly see rankings for each league. The table below shows the top-ranked IV for each league.
| League | Top-ranked IVs (Atk/Def/HP) | Rank of 15/15/15 | Best with IVs 10+ |
|---|---|---|---|
| Great League | 10/15/13 Lv 19.5 · CP 1,500 20/13/15 Lv 19.5 · CP 1,500 31/15/11 Lv 19.5 · CP 1,500 | #1,667 Lv 18 · CP 1,486 | 10/15/15 Lv 18.5 · CP 1,495 (#237) |

Same calculation as the IV rank checker: highest stat product within the league CP cap (up to level 50). Master League has no cap, so 15/15/15 is rank 1.
Using Charizard in GO Battle League and Raids
Check the cards below for Charizard and Mega Charizard's GO Battle League rankings, recommended moves, and Raid attacker rankings. Mega Charizard X is Fire and Dragon type, while Mega Charizard Y is Fire and Flying type, so their weaknesses differ. For Raid attackers, also refer to the Fire attacker rankings and Dragon attacker rankings pages.
Mega Evolution Raid Guide Pages
Mega Charizard X and Y have different types and therefore different weaknesses. Each boss's weaknesses, recommended attackers, and boss moves can be found on the Mega Charizard X Raid guide page and the Mega Charizard Y Raid guide page.
Values are based on GBL Note's own calculations. The minimum IV floor for Raid catches is 10/10/10, and the catch level is 20 (25 with weather boost).
