Pokémon GO Gastly IV Rankings & Gengar Recommended Moves — Spotlight Hour
The Gastly Spotlight Hour runs on October 29 (Thu) from 6 p.m.–7 p.m. local time. Gastly will appear far more frequently than usual during this hour, and a bonus of 2× XP for evolutions will be active. You may also encounter a Shiny Gastly. For the full Spotlight Hour schedule, see the Gastly Spotlight Hour news post.
Gastly IV Rankings — Top 1 per League
Because Gastly is caught in the wild, the minimum IV floor is 0. The table below shows the most advantageous IV combinations for Super League, Hyper League, and Master League. You can check any caught Pokémon immediately with the IV Rank Checker.
| League | Top-ranked IVs (Atk/Def/HP) | Rank of 15/15/15 |
|---|---|---|
| Great League | 10/13/13 Lv 19.5 · CP 1,498 21/12/13 Lv 19.5 · CP 1,499 30/11/15 Lv 19.5 · CP 1,497 | #1,223 Lv 18 · CP 1,480 |
| Ultra League | 10/15/14 Lv 34.5 · CP 2,500 21/15/15 Lv 34 · CP 2,498 30/14/14 Lv 34.5 · CP 2,493 | #1,602 Lv 30.5 · CP 2,487 |
| Master League | 115/15/15 Lv 50 · CP 3,254 | #1 Lv 50 · CP 3,254 |
Same calculation as the IV rank checker: highest stat product within the league CP cap (up to level 50). Master League has no cap, so 15/15/15 is rank 1.
Gengar in GO Battle League & Raids
Gastly evolves into Haunter, which then evolves into Gengar. Gengar is a Ghost/Poison type attacker used in both Raids and GO Battle League. Gengar's tier and recommended moves can also be found in the Ghost type Raid attacker rankings.
The IV table is calculated by GBL Note using the same formula as the IV Rank Checker. Spotlight Hour times are based on local time.
